Thrilling U23 Tournament at BNB : Ronnie Clinches Victory

The NPPL U23's Tournament held at BNB Ruwa on the 8th of September 2024 was a showcase of young talent, determination, and high-level pool skills. In the early rounds, *Paka* showed his mettle by defeating *Msombo* with a 4-2 scoreline and continuing his winning streak by taking down *Flash* 4-0 in the second round. *Radiator* from *Megga 1* also made a strong statement by winning 4-0 against *Farai Chiwawa*, while *Bhibhidho* from *Pahukama* advanced with a 4-1 victory over *Sly*.

*5 Dollar* from *Leisure Centre* battled fiercely, edging out *Agogo* with a close 4-3 victory in the second round. However, the competition intensified as players advanced, with only the best making it to the final stages.

The quarterfinals saw some of the tournament's best action. *Paka* continued his dominant form by defeating *Radiator* 4-2, while *Dollar* showcased his skills with a 4-1 win over *Hastings*. *Aviator* from *Megga 1* also advanced by overpowering *Tadiwa* 4-0, and *Ronnie* from *Pahukama* edged out *Mayweather* in a tightly contested 4-3 match.

The semifinals brought together four of the tournament's standout players. *Paka* once again proved his class by beating *5 Dollar* 4-2, securing his place in the final. On the other side, *Ronnie* showed resilience by overcoming *Aviator* with a 4-1 victory, setting up an exciting final clash.

In the 3rd place playoff, *Aviator* managed to pull off a 4-2 win against *5 Dollar*, securing the third spot and a well-deserved $100 prize.

The final was a thrilling contest between *Ronnie* and *Paka*. Both players displayed exceptional skill and determination, but it was *Ronnie* who emerged victorious with a 4-3 win, clinching the title and the top prize of $200. *Paka* settled for second place and a $140 reward, but his performance throughout the tournament was nothing short of spectacular.
