NPPL 3RD MASTERS EDITION 2024 - A Celebration of Skill and Leadership

Today, the NPPL 3rd Masters Edition 2024 unfolded at Mega 1, highlighting the exceptional talent and leadership within our league. This *Race to 3* format tournament was a true display of both competitive spirit and sportsmanship.

**King Alfred**, the captain of BNB Ruwa, showcased his mastery of the game, clinching the championship title with a decisive 3-0 victory over **Dennis**, the vice-captain of Leisure Centre. Dennis put up an impressive fight, earning his place in the final by overcoming tough opponents, including a thrilling 3-2 win against **Alois**, the Treasurer of Leisure Centre, in the semifinals.

**Alois** secured third place after a hard-fought match against **Mapira**, the Chairman of Legends Pool Club, who took fourth. Their performances added to the high level of competition seen throughout the day.

We also want to extend our appreciation to **Manene**, our NPPL Secretary General (SG), who demonstrated his prowess on the table with a victory over **Simba**, the captain of Niceday Select, in a highly competitive match. SIMBA, who also serves as the NPPL Deputy Secretary General (DSG), showed why he is a respected figure both on and off the table.

The event was further graced by the presence of **Paradzai Chigodora**, the Vice Chairman of NPPL, and **Victor Hamandishe**, our former NPPL Chairman and patron of Legends Pool Club. Hamandishe delivered an impressive performance in the first round, defeating **Byron Denere**, the NPPL Head Umpire and a Killers player.

A special mention goes to **Chenge Mabvudza**, the Chairman of Leisure Centre, who played valiantly but was bested by **Clement Chinoperekeyi**, a skilled player and NPPL Umpire from Legends Pool Club. Their match added another layer of excitement to this remarkable tournament.

This Masters Edition was not only a showcase of elite pool playing but also a celebration of the leadership and camaraderie within the NPPL community. Congratulations to all the participants, and especially to King Alfred, our new champion. Your dedication continues to inspire us all.

Let’s carry this momentum forward as we look ahead to future tournaments and continue to elevate the NPPL to greater heights.
